China Town Bonanza

So today Ines finally took me to China Town and I made some lovely discoveries. Maybe I am the only soul who did not know this but I found a pretty decent and really low priced supermarket (#1), another green grocery(#4) that you should try if you can't get to the open market, a phone company(#3), where you can make calls back home and get all phone supplies and plus an impressively stocked store that sells alot of ethnic products (#2)...in food, hair products etc. Things I need from home were actually there but of course they are pricier but at least you can get them. Hey Sri - they even had salt fish!! We can do some Indo-Jamaican dinner. Last there is also a hardware store but I will get back to where...nah i'll leave some hunting for u to do...you'll find it.

So ahh where exactly you ask? Oops nearly forgot that bit of essential information. Its only 5 minutes walk from the Weena and the four shops are numbered and there's a map right above.

Welcome

Goede Dag UMD5

So I've been talking about it and finally decided this weekend (yes...I needed a break from "writing the boss") to get this together. So its far from perfect but i am sure with your help this will be fun and useful to us all.

This is really a chance for us to talk about anything:-
  • What's happening for the weekend?
  • What on earth is this assignment really about?
  • Where's the cheapest place to buy groceries?
  • Can anyone recommend a good "coffee shop"?
  • Where can I get my bike fixed?
  • Any cheap hair dressers?
  • Has anyone seen Bashir ? I can hear but can't find him.
  • Post a good African recipe...request a good Indonesian recipe.

And the list goes on and on..........You can either place a comment under a blog or send information you wish to share to the blogmaster at umd5blog@gmail.com. Just for fun I'll be loading up candid photos we take when you are not looking....so come back and see if we caught you.

I nearly forgot...I welcome the opportunity to upload all photos of interest and video clips of our adventures and expeditions....its a good way to share them. Okay UMD5 lets show IHS that we are the best they've had to date...we work hard and play hard. Of course, don't forget to send any suggestions on how we can use this blog experiment to umd5blog@gmail.com. Thank you and see you online.

Met vriendelijke groet!!
